let me explain u a thing
It looks like shit right now, I know. More dramatic lighting will help. The main light source is going to be the fire elemental front and center.
I basically took the partially-done background I’d saved a copy of as a jpg before photoderp took a dump on my work and corrupted 7 hours worth of saves (about five different .psd files), and have been painting over the top of that in manga studio. Kind of a crappy way to go about it, but we’ll see.
My main complaint with painting in manga studio is no super-easy way to change brush size, and you can’t paint in multiply/screen modes. You can set a layer to those modes, but not directly paint in it. Not that I’ve found, anyway.
So I dunno, we’ll see I guess. x_x
29.5 hours now.
Glad i never got those last 4 achievements after all lol
THIS IS SO ACCURATE.
Good thing the dolyak is cute. I enjoy WvW anyway, but seven weeks = this vs 3 hours of Karka Event for a unique backpiece… or two…
[09:17 AM] aroihkin: no, by all means photoshit, corrupt seven hours worth of saved work
[09:17 AM] aroihkin: I’m convinced that at least half of what photoshit is good for is ruining my crap
20 hour mark and counting (though probably done for the moment), blocked in very rough background stuff. It’s based very roughly off the old theater in this post. This would be why I tag scenery like that. It may only be for a staircase or a tree, but there’s usually something relevant. XD
Still need to do line-weight work on Tannusen, but I’m probably pausing for the moment. Probably. I’ve done about 12 hours of work on it today (after something around four hours of just working on the pose, the other day, because I’m a perfectionist when I arrange poses in 3D and want it to look right from every angle even when I only use one).
Program is Manga Studio EX 5, which I do all my line-art in now.
